Ok....I have heard a few opinions...I have found a few different complete weber setups....http://www.inglese.com and http://www.webercarbsdirect.com (both carbureted and fuel injected)....but I have a concern with these being street legal and passing Texas vehicle inspection also this setup is very complex and tuning would be a pain in the a$$...here are the stats!
Ford listed the kits with these HP gains:
Three 2-V Induction = 12 to 15 hp
Low Rise two 4-V Induction (Carter) = 25 to 30 hp
High Rise two 4-V Induction (Holley) = 30 to 35 hp
Weber Four 2-V Induction = More than 40 hp
Any more info or opinions?

Cobra kit: Two 4-V High Riser Induction(Dual Quad Holleys), avail. June 1966, p/n: C6ZZ-6B068-A.
Does anyone know the cast #s for the manifold and front/rear carbs?
I would like to put together a repro kit or buy used original!
If you had your choice between cobra kits what would it be?
Three 2-V Induction (C4DZ-6B068-A,?
Two 4-V Low Riser w/Carter carbs and stelling and helling air (before June 1966 - p/n C4OZ-6B068-E)?
Four 2-V Weber Induction (48 IDA Weber - p/n C5OZ-6B068-A)?
Or the above Dual Holley kit?

Thanks...for the replies...that is why I am asking here...it sounded a little bit like bull crap to me when I heard it....he also claimed that the vehicle had been owned by Jimmie Johnson as a teenager....don't worry though....I didn't pay a premium price for it....so he didn't benefit from his tale....
However, it does now have a HiPo engine...not so sure when it was retrofited...as you can tell
I would post some pics but I am contracting in Iraq and my Stang is in Texas....maybe I will get my wife to take some.....but then again...that may be like pulling teeth to get an proper pic

When I purchased my 66 coupe I was told that it was original from the factory an A Code but upon order the buyer requested an upgraded engine which was completed at the dealer or atleast prior to pick up. My car was built 30 Aug 65, San Jose, so it was an early 66 model. Later, when I asked a gentleman and fellow Mustang enthusiast that was helping me to repair/restore it, he stated that it was entirely possible but that it would be noted by a label on the gas tank. The previous owner had replaced the gas tank so I have no record of this and the warranty label shows A Code. Is this possible? What recourse do I have in verifying or proving this so as not to lose points during judging? other than replacing the engine and making it a true A Code...
