The Hooker 6901's fit great with no mods.Wouldn't use anything else unless it was a Shelby restoration.

Greg,do you have a 31 spline locker?

Recieved the blow proof today from forum member for $100 and appreciate it.You know who you are and THANKS AGAIN!

Trust me it isn't all that as I've been for over 25 years and I sure wouldn't drive that long to go to a show where most of these people are looking for that one sucker with deep pockets!
-
You should state when your car was built as there were two different letter pulleys.Do an archive search and you will know by all the info.

All of Fords pistons are cast and are really junk and don't last.Any type of hard driving or racing will cause the pistons skirts to crack.Oh I forgot to mention that Ford didn't do a very good job of balancing their motors either.Just upgrade to a set of forged pistons as your motor will be glad you did!

Anybody have or know anyone who has a 5 bolt SBF blow proof bellhousing they want to get rid of please let me know...Thanks

Can anyone who has an original emblem on their alternator measure the end to end of emblem as I've seen two different sizes 2 7/16 and 2 5/16 but width is same at 1 7/16?

I might be interested in your G64 if you want to sell?E-mail me if so...Thanks

The whole motor put together with date code on deck surface is assembly day and shipped to plant for assembly with the car. There's a few days to two week or two months before final assembly of car down the line.Depending on the plant as to how soon the body and motor got together is factored in as to how many of each were built.Specific to Dearborn is really what I'm most familar with.
-
The X on the assembly date is the inspector letter. Each inspector who stamped date codes on deck were givin a letter as to identify them.Sounds like a put together car and or motor as the dates are all over the place where as an original car will only vary 2 weeks to 2 months in dating.

Did you sell that car for that kind of money really as that is WAY TOO much for this car?

If you cut those pieces out was wondering if I could have them as I need the outer part where the valance bolts on etc. and looks like there is enough good outer frame I could use if both sides are that way?

-
Having read this and research markings etc. that I've done seems to be alot about this plants trans and San Jose plants but nothing really on early Dearborn 4 speeds?

Asking about the pattern on the door where the rubber is.I'm looking to find out where the tape line was between the outside color and interior door color?
