I am going to be in the Ogden-Salt Lake area between 6/11 and 6/22 and since it looks like there are a few listers from that area have a few questions for the locals.

    1. Are there any book stores in the area that have a good selection of '60s car books and magazines?

    2. Are there any swap meets/car shows during this time?

    3. I am looking for a 1965 GT instrument bezel, Buddy Bar Cobra Valve covers, and a toploader, all of good driver quality.Anyone have these or leads on some in the area?

I saw from a previous thread there were not any good junkyards in the area, but maybe there are some parts hidden away in some garages.

    Thanks,

    Jay

At this point I am not planning on selling it and I am just looking to collect the parts needed to complete it, but am unsure of what I need. That being said, I have a Shelby carryover (6s081) and if someone had some unique pieces for that, I might consider a trade.

Other than the secondary linkage and the choke pieces, is there anything else that seems to be missing?

    Tater 51,

Thanks for the info on the choke.

    Ralph,

Thanks for the lead to Pony Carbs.

I have what I believe is a hipo carb that came with a Tiger I bought many years ago, but it seems to be missing some parts. First there is not a tag on it and the only stampings I can find are a 112 in a circle, C40FAL on one of the flanges, and a GF on one of the bosses that sticks out on the side. It looks to me like it is missing a secondary accelerator pump rod and maybe some choke hardware, but I am not sure if would be a manual or automatic choke. Is this an early hipo carb and is there anything else missing?

    TIA,

    Jay

    Hi Troy,

Since the term Carryovers has been in use for many years (including by SAAC themselves) most of us Carryover owners do not think there is much controversy on the name. At any rate, there is no reason to bring that subject to this site, which from what I have seen concentrates on the positive aspects of our cars and hobby. Its very refreshing!

Here is a link to some pics of 6S081.

Since I posted yesterday to one of the threads, I figure I should introduce myself.I have been lurking for a few months and am absolutely amazed at the knowledge here and how little I know.

My car is a '66 GT-350 carryover and I have owned it since '89. When I bought it, it was in excellent shape but I wanted to go Vintage racing so I modified it (lightly) so I could race. I have not had it on the track for many years now and so I am beginning the transformation back to a street car and will need some help doing it correctly.

Sorry I am new here so I have much to learn, but the VIN number seems a bit high for '65 San Jose car. Didn't the last '65s coming down the San Jose line end at 5r09K242XXX? Like I said I am learning, so no offense intended.
