Hi,
I'm presently looking for a '67 Mustang KGT clutch equalizer bar. Does anyone have one for sale? Does anyone know if a reproduction equalizer bar is made to fit my application? TIA for any help!

Dave,
The owner/seller of that kar is a member here; you would know him as boss1. Based on the several transactions that I have had with Rob, I can/will say he is definitely a good guy and a "straight shooter". If anyone has any interest in the car get in touch with Rob.
Dave (round2k),
I agree with your belief that Tim Shanahan owned the car. It certainly looked like an easy /great kar to restore.
Burt,
Good luck with your restoration! Please keep us posted of your progress and remember, posts without pictures are almost worthless! <img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
Tom
Merlyn,
Very sweeeeeet!
How bad is your insurance for something like that?
Tom
Terry,
Based on the small sampling of C7 hipo exhaust manifolds that I've seen, the date code scheme consists of 3 groups of numbers. For example, one NOS C7 hipo manifold had a date code of 6-14-7, which decodes to June 14th of 1967. Perhaps the date code that you are referencing is actually 4-8-7, which would decode to April 8th of 1967. It will be interesting to hear other people's opinions on this topic.
Tom
If it's lead you're looking for in the product, look for a product manufactured in China! <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Fred,
In one word....... NO!
IMHO, the seller is clearly delusional!
Tom
Dave,
To be honest, I thought you did a great job, but I don't think you have Lucas or Spielberg "shakin' in their boots yet"! <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Apparently <b>SOLD</b> for $18,000.00, but neither buyer nor seller posted feedback on the transaction...
<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>
The auction ended late in the day, on March 21, 2008. I suspect the buyer is still waiting to receive / see the car, therefore waiting to post any type of feedback. The seller, most likely, is witholding his feedback until the buyer posts his. This is a typical eBay feedback scenario.
Tom
Terry,
IIRC, date codes on hipo exhaust manifolds decode just the way they look. In your case it decodes to September 1st of, most likely, 1967. I suspect there should be a part number of C7ZE-9431-A or C7ZE-9430-A on the manifold as well. From what I remember, the date code was located on the flange side of the manifold. The part number was located on the opposite side. Hope this helps!
Tom
Merlyn,
I remember those photos! I truly think that Rob posted them, a long time ago.
Tom
Doug,
I sent you an email.
Tom
qball,
What are you planning to use it on? How are you planning to use it? I suspect, like anything else, that it may work better for some applications than others.
Tom
So what's the consensus, is Merlyn's theory regarding the paint overspray on a factory installed fuel pump, correct? It sound's very reasonable to me.
Here's a thread talking about the fact that NOT all '67 K-codes got tachs!

Tom
bfit & 67KBob,
Here are a couple of threads talking about this subject:

BTW Bob, my Dearborn '67 KGT fastback has a 6k tach and a 120mph speedometer. I still think that is the way she came from the factory. I have talked with Jim Chism about this topic. FWIW, he felt whatever tach, 6k or 8k, was in stock at the time got used.
Hey Brinks3447, what did your red '67 Koupe have in it for instrumentation?

My car was "actually built" on May 4, 1967. I have a block dated April 18th (7D18), and C7ZE non-thermactor heads (with the extra material but no holes) both dated February 3rd (7B3).
I was thinking that these heads were cast too early for my car's build date (based on advice from another thread on this ekschange board), but maybe I'm ok.
What do you think?
Thanks

By any chance do you know the assembly date of the engine? Are you thinking that it is the original engine for you car? BTW, have you found any portion of the VIN stamped into your block?

FWIW, I'm thinking the point that 1175 made above has some validity. I have a '67 unmolested hipo motor with a block casting date of 7D7 and an assembly date of 7D25Y. Both non-thermactor C7ZE heads are dated 7B3. Hope this helps!
It'll be interesting if the buyer completes the transaction. Who knows, with an ebay handle of "snakebite500", perhaps this kar will soon become a GT350! Obviously, just total speculation on my part. <img src=images/icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

FWIW, I believe that "aboss429ataol" = Perogie Enterprises. They have never been known for low prices, but, as far as I know, the products they sell are good.
