I could certainly use one for my 65. The rear end on my car has the correct plate for a 66, not sure if a June'July build date might influence that...
Any suggestions anyone?
Would happily swap the 66 for a 65 but being in Australia makes logistics a bit of a bugger.

I have had a WC T5 in my 65 Fastback for about 12 years now. When I was 1st restoring it was about the time California Pony Cars came out with the conversion and, since the toploader was toast, I went with it. The only regret I have now is I traded the 4-speed for the T5 and all the gear for conversion. thought I'd had a win at the time....still, live & learn.
As for the car, still drives fantastic! Recently drove a mate's A-code 66 with a toploader (he drove mine) and we both came away preferring to drive the T5.
Best you hang onto your original parts though....

My 65 F'back has the 2-speed wipers & washers but not the other 2 items.
Doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd special order?

Here is mine. Yes, another Ivy Green. Been on the road as a regular (not quite daily) driver since '98 so starting to show it's age a little. Will get a proper birthday when I finish with my early Falcons. It's about as basic as can be. Std interior, drum brakes all round.... Only major mod is the T5 trans, but then nobody knows or sees that

I have the exact same setup as mentioned above by Mu5tanggt in my 65 Fastback. Was done back in 97 when I was restoring the car as best I could with limited knowledge back then. Was always curious why the dealer I got the T5 from was so keen to take my toploader as a straight swap for the 5-speed. I thought he was just being a good bloke at the time......
Have never thought about going back in the past 12-13 years as the thing drives like a champ with the 5-speed. Would probably rather now that I'd paid for the T5 outright though and held onto my 4-speed! I've even shifted country with the car since then (NZ to Aus) so NO CHANCE of ever seeing that one again....
I tried about 6 months ago but got stalled because I'm in Australia & it would not accept that.
What should I do there?

I voted for no console.
My fastback has no console & I think the man shifter then becomes a focus point & looks great. That said, my car has a std interior which I think lends itself to a simpler layout.....
Don't think the ebay-ers are doing the ones I've seen advertised. They were on the inside jacket of the last Musclecar Enthusiast I received.
On the subject, what are everyone's thoughts on this mag? I'm in Australia and find it very informative for someone without the everyday background in US muscle.
Anyone noticed Mustangs Unlimited ads in Musclecar Enthusiast showing they have a repro for the 65 and 66 9" housings?
Was wondering if anyone has seen them or used them, seems a lot of money to me but could they be any good?
I've got BF Goodrich Lifesaver WW's on mine. 205/70/14 I think (car is in storage). They've been there a long time but don't think Ill be able to get the same when the time comes. will have to pay close attention to what others are using....
