have an ORIGINAL rust free rebound plate for sale at no reserve on ebay. Every 65-67 K code and some A codes had this plate. Its not a repro and as you can see from the pics its a choice part. This came off a rust free K code that was crushed in the front in Arizona many years ago and has been parted out.

I have an excellent original fastback (2) piece accessory ribbed diecast panel. Missing one stud only. most Ive seen are missing the majority. To me this is what makes the 67 body style. its the best option for that year. I would consider trade for a coupe/convertible original in same condition . i paid $500 for this set and thats what I need for it. I can supply pics. Head on stud is 7/8" and its round , thread is 3/8 fine with alignment knob on end. Sure you could cob a hex head fine thread bolt in there but it would have threads all the way to the end and no alignment knob. We're trying to make a quality authentic part here. Other than the Laser cutting its pretty much dead on.

Sure , you can restore them if you throw enough time and money at them. cut them apart on the weld. press out the junk stud. machine up a new stud, weld it in, weld them back together. My point was that the stud cant be removed without doing this. Its too long . Ford made these to be replaced, not restored.

the way they are made originally they arent meant to be restored. If you try to replace the stud you will wreck it

Only problem with that is the bolts are welded in before the two halves are welded together. To properly get the stud out the pieces need to be split apart. the stud cant be removed without doing that. Ive done it but we had to bend the heck out of the bracket to the point of almost ruining the bracket and the stud gets wrecked in the process. Its physically impossible to install the stud without wrecking it when the part is together

We removed an original stud and machined some to original specs. The fine thread is a bitch

I agree with Ray! Sitting around typing anonymous posts making snide remarks is making this site a real joke amongst the Old Ford community. Ive heard comparisons to Model A owners from the magazine people. If you dont want the part don't buy it. If you want a repo part buy it and pay the $75 from 67kcodeGT and hope he made it correctly with a deep draw die. Otherwise show some class and keep out of it. Its really none of your business. I was making this post for a friend who isn't in to computers who had 4 smashed hard 9 inch wrecks for the last 25 years and now he needs some $ to pay his medical bills. I am making a real killing selling them for him, so far Ive sold the other three and he got all the money. I showed him the posts you made and he didn't understand why anyone would do that. I hope making those post made you feel real good.

My guy finally got me the last Hipo rebound plate off his scrapped cars. This is the plate that is welded to the car directly above the 3rd member rubber bumper. Nice part, all work already done - spot welds ground of back side, primed ready to install $400 (920) 434 3645
