You don't even need a 4201S. Any button top CARburTER would be a nice touch if you can find one. They don't look for date codes in concours and you can't see it without removing the fuel pump anyway.

Hipo belt is different length due to the larger alternator pulley. Most good mustang vendors should carry a correct reproduction. Sorry, don't have any specs or part #'s handy.

Sold for $262.76 by seller dorsae123
QuoteUp for auction is a NOS choke cable for your 1965, 1966 Mustang Hipo and Shelbys only. This is a prestine, show car worthy choke cable. there are no issues to disclose on this. the knob opens and closes very crisply. the gentleman i bought this from told me he purchased this at a ford dealership in the mid 70's. he said this was a spare item that was never used and had it in a box for 30 years. i have purchased many nos parts from this guy so i have no reason to doubt it's authenticity. very nice detailing item for your show car. these are on the rare side. if your hipo or shelby needs one of these, don't let it by.

Congrats Charles, finding the VIN on my block was definitely a day maker so I know the feeling!
-
ok then, I'm surprised the reserve wasn't higher.

I'd say Bob cut you a deal as that price doesn't sure doesn't sound like a price he would give to very many other people...

I've been curious about the carpet offered by Mustang Market. To the best of my knowledge they manufacture most everything they sell yet I've never seen any feedback on their carpeting. They have absolutely the best pony door panels of anyone out there (if you need black or parchment). You willing to take a chance and find out John?

I wouldn't have stated that the tachs always work... my original would only register 2000 rpm till I had Gary fix it.
-
Repop coils are evil...

Good luck Joyce! (Like you really need another pony in the stable, LOL)

Sigh, haven't got my copy yet. WTG again John, this is the second time this year one of your cars has made MM. My 06 Roush made the cover of last months MT, almost right smack dab in the middle of the picture. At least Mary Jean didn't cover it up with something else this time like she did with my K at Augusta...

I may have your tail light body, have to look through my parts to see if I still have one.
-
That is asinine, you pay good money for a replacement part and it is completely the wrong color. What is it with some of these vendors/manufacturers?

Motive is one of several vendors that distributes their exhaust systems through NPD. The straight through GT duals with the resonators replaced the Arvinode system in late March of '65, and there are several companie reproducing them as they are the most common Mustang dual exhuast system.
If you own a HiPo there were three possible exhaust systems:
Start of production until 10/15/64: transverse duals.
10/15/64 until 3/22/65: Arvinode.
3/22/65 through '67: straight through GT duals.
There are some conflicting dates in the Ford parts books about the transistion from the Arvinode over to the GT duals; 3/22/65 or 4/2/65. Sor far the latest car we have found with an Arvinode is from late March.
As Dave has confirmed, there are several vendors that distribute their exhaust systems through NPD. Evidently I received one of the "other" vendors h-pipes from NPD after I poked a hole in mine loading the kar onto a trailer. It didn't fit worth squat and unfortunately we destroyed it trying to make it fit so I couldn't return it. Bought another h-pipe from K.A.R. (where I purchased my original system) and it fit like a glove. I will reiterate, if you purchase your exhaust from NPD BE SURE TO SPECIFY YOU WANT THE MOTIVE SYSTEM - NO SUBSTITUTIONS! They are the only ones that I've found that fit right.
-
Don't know if they sell direct or not.
Here's their website:
-
Ask.... I know K.A.R. sells Motive though they are a little pricey, I believe NPD does as well although they may carry another manufacturer along with the Motive so be sure to specify you want the Motive.
-
Make sure what you buy is made by Motive...
-
Scott Drake makes the best ones but as Troy mentioned even theirs can be out of round. One of mine was a bugger to balance.
Hint: Buy 67 wheels for the extra 1/2" width, especially if you are planning on putting radials on them.

65 and 66 housings are different, do you have both styles? Pics please?

Have you tried the "contact seller" link on ebay or contacting him via his board? I have not seen Alan post any other type of contact info in years...
