Wayne, I should have at least two original 66 SS wheels but don't know if they would meet your criteria. They weren't nice enough for me to put back on my kar. I'll have to pull them back out and look at them to see what shape the chrome is in, I do know they will need to be repainted. If you don't find a decent one get back to me and I'll dig them out.

3 speed used the same bellhousing as well if I'm not mistaken. Only difference would be 5 or 6 bolt depending on your block. Oh, and maybe date code and casting number... The hipo flywheel was not physically larger than a standard 289 flywheel.
Here's pics mwm sent me of the rebuilt pump. Looks pretty good though I can see some signs of being uncrimped and recrimped. Better than I had expected but not quite as good as I would like for my original 4201. Price sure is right though!

I have come to the conclusion that a correct hipo fuel pump is the hardest of the hipo parts to come by. With that said, what is the value of a non-hipo button top fuel pump? Are they rare. This is what I have on my car currently. I am just wondering if these are worth picking up when I come across them. Thanks.
I have to agree, a correct fuel pump has to be at the top of the list, especially for us 66-67 guys. While I have my functional (as best as I can tell) original 4201 I was fortunate enough to pick up a nice button top CARburaTER pump on fleabay a couple of years ago for less than $50. Still seaking a rebuilder of these crimped pumps...
I've got a picture here somewhere of the inside of my frame rail still in place with the trunk floor removed. There is no special plate for the tie-down that is not on any Mustang, the only difference is the exhaust hanger support. The repro frame rail I used was only lacking the dual exhaust support which we transfered over. The repro was not exact but was close.
Hank, did you find your backing plates? I did finally get a chance to take a quick look at the ones that I have but couldn't find any numbers due to the crud on them. What I have looks an awful lot like those you referenced...
BTW, as per the info in the MP link above I believe the plates I have came from front of my kar (PO had installed drums so his cragars would fit - this with a disc brake MC and PV setup - not fun to stop!) and I believe they were 2-1/2". Have no idea what they might have been salvaged from.
Are the repo's with the brace welded in ok for shows or should i try and find one without the brace thanks Otto
What class? I doubt if very many judges would ding you for a repro. Good originals and/or NOS are difficult if not impossible to find. I suppose you could cut/grind the brace out if you had to...

Last I checked Ford still carries the secondary diaphram. There is also a seller on fleebay that regularly offers a complete kit that includes the secondary. Looks to be of good quality. I'd have to dig for his name...
I don't have any experience with the NAPA shocks. I like my KYB's though. Price is reasonable...
Ok, I can't find any brinell test marks on this flywheel but does have a number 6 stamped on it. Date code is 6G21. Weighs somewhere right around 19 lbs on the bathroom scale. Definately had a 10-1/2" clutch run on it from the wear marks. Guess I'll have to take it up to the balancer to see where it's balanced...
Would a service replacement part have a hardness test? This flywheel looks to clean to be an original.

No chit! Never seen white hood springs before... Looks like they used the same paint inside and out. Kinda surprised the engine wasn't white.
I've yet to see a repro... too many NOS ones still floating around. Usually at least one or two a week on fleebay. Can normally be had for around $10-15, I see a few sellers though who think they are gold and start them for $25 or more.
