Won best 64-78 Mustang at the Route 66 Festival in Springfield, IL this last weekend. Quite a turnout, over 1200 cars and an estimated 80,000 spectators. Have no idea how many Mustangs were there as they were spread out over a 22 square block area. Was neat driving the 5 mile portion of old Rt 66 through town on Friday night, the whole 5 miles was lined with spectators waving and giving the big thumbs up. Was quite a memorable experience!

I've got at least one rocker arm nut that will not hold adjustment more than 50 miles, looking for recommendations for a good set of replacement nuts and whether I should replace the studs at the same time...

Will poly-locks fit under the stock rocker arm covers?

Me thinks he better take the 27k and run with it...

Vendor of your choice, look for rear brake hose for dual exhaust for any 65-66 Mustang. NPD, Glaziers, or Virginia would be good s good starting point. I'm afraid if you can find an original it will be big dollars...

Was a nice show Kenyon, you were well rewarded with a fantastic turnout. Rather chilly in the AM but turned out to be a great day. Glad I could be of help judging, was my first time so had my reservations but I think I did ok, I know I got 1st and 2nd right... There were a couple I wish the owner wasn't around when I was judging it though, cleanliness and workmanship was definitely lacking on at least one car.

You sure ran your butt off handing out awards... Wish I had that much energy,

I've got one of the early reproductions that I purchased from Branda when they were first made available sometime in the early 80's on my kar, I'll try to remember to look and see what is stamped on it tomorrow...

IF the buy now is reached he will include the correct removed parts? Jeez...

My kar has the original longer spare tire bolt and smaller hold down for styled wheels as well.

I never saw the owner on the 'K'Koupe with the special order paint. The car is from Connecticut but I have never seen it here.

Sorry, I was refering to K Mustangs. Couldn't tell you if there is a difference on the Fairlanes.

Maybe I'm out of line but does it really matter what color the gasket is? Weren't engines painted as an assembly from the factory therefore also painting any exposed gasket material?
