Well, I will have to say the slip yoke I bought from aboss (Randy) off of ebay is a total piece of junk. Besides being pitted (I doubt if it will ever seal up, will probably eat up seals) it is also cracked. So far I have had no luck getting a response from him. Anyone got a phone # for him?

Aboss and Mr.Enterprises are two different people but both go for ALL they can get like most I've SEEN!
The box I just got from aboss said Perogie Enterprises on the return address...

FWIW, I believe that "aboss429ataol" = Perogie Enterprises. They have never been known for low prices, but, as far as I know, the products they sell are good.
I believe you are correct....

Yeah, I've seen it. Makes me cringe everytime....
Don't know how true it is but I heard somewhere that was a real Shelby...

Call Jim at Shelby Parts & Restoration 920-434-3645.
I don't have tri-y's on my kar (wish I did) but I gotta ditto BiggerMike. If you want parts that fit I would contact Jim.

This wasn't meant to be a thread to post comments on but I had to say VERY NICE Dave!
Now, would whoever has a password on their pictures please remove it?
Wish Gene would give me some priveledges to this thread, I have copies of all the pics that are now missing and would like to clean the thread up a little of the messages that aren't supposed to be here, this was supposed to be a picture gallery...

Thanks Dave, I've already contacted them and he didn't have all the parts to do a 66 driveshaft, plus his price is rather high. I'm having mine done thru Jim Cowles at Shelby Parts @ Restoration. He has everything except the slip yoke and is about half the price of deadnutson.

Looking for a GOOD 28 spline inside clip slip yoke or an entire inside clip driveshaft. Does not have to be a hipo driveshaft as I am having a new one made from the parts. My current driveshaft is out of true and my balancer couldn't tell if it was the shaft or the ends so I don't want to use any parts from it for the new driveshaft. The shop I'm having build my new driveshaft has the correct ends but needs a correct yoke. I'd rather send him a complete driveshaft so as not to deplete his stock but at least need the yoke.

No, only at 3 o'clock. Actually its at about 3:30.

26 coats of paint? Won't that cause cracking problems later?

Just got my October issue of the Mustang Times today and made the centerfold... the ivy green coupe at the very bottom center of the picture. At least this time the whole kar is in the picture (well, except for the Epps pace car's hood blocking part of it, lol). Maybe one of these days Mary Jean will get a good picture. I see she had to throw a picture of herself in overtop of some of the other cars. Not very good page layout if you ask me...

Congrats Merlyn,
Your car looked real good in Augusta also. You've brought that car a long way since first showing it in Springfield.
Thanks Richard, just got my judging sheets back today for the Augusta show and got my best score yet, only 6 points deducted and 4 of those were for radials. It's been a long but very satisfying process of getting it from where it was the first show in Springfield in 2004. Still have a few things to make right and/or better. As long as I'm in trailered class I'm afraid I'll never get better than 4 or 5 points deducted as I have no intention of ever putting bias ply tires back on the kar.

Personally I'd rather change oil in the fall so the contaminants aren't sitting in your engine all winter. If you don't start it during the winter I don't see a need to change it again in the spring.

Thanks Fred, I think I'm going to give the Mr. Gaskets a shot. I found a couple posts in the archives with these being used and the price is right. You didn't have to make any modifications to the valve covers to get these to fit did you?
