My old 1966 Mustang GT

  • Back in the 70's I owned a 1966 Mustang GT HI-PO K code, convertible, with pony interior, manual, either 3 or 4 speed. It was black with white interior.

As I get older, 71, I am reminiscing about the cars I used to own. In researching the 1966 Mustang GT, I am finding out how rare this car is. I sold the car in Grand forks North Dakota. As this is so rare, someone has to know where this car is. I wish I had the VIN number. It would be fun to know what happened to this fine car.

A Hipo convertible with original GT and pony interior are the trifecta in the Mustang world. I had 3 of them at one time and, yes, they are extremely rare.

  • kodpkd,

Do you happen to have any old paperwork in filing cabinets that has the vin? That is really your only chance is to find that vin then I can help you.

Request more info: The 1966 trim codes do not show a "white" interior but it does show a "blue & white" or an "aqua & white" or "Ivy gold & white"

Question: Do you happen to remember which one it could be?
